Pet(s) if any: A bunny rabbit named Sprinkles. Personality: Hannah is what most people would like to call a first class dumb blonde. Most of her words come flying off her lips before she can think about what she is saying and more often than not what she says is something awfully mixed up. She’s not usually too bothered by her lack of smarts but sometimes when she does or says something utterly stupid she does get hot in the cheeks or she might even shed tears. This has happened on several occasions, including during her O.W.L. S when she turned a ferret into a flock of flamingos. Despite these minor setbacks, Hannah perseveres and feels she is a smarter person after her blunders are corrected. Some believe she’s always going to be dumb and that’s it. She’s not quite so fond of those naysayers and, as her weird muggle cousin Simon always says, “them fools be haters, yo.” Hannah tends to be awfully friendly to everyone though, but has always felt a strong loyalty to her housemates and closest of friends. In her social circle, if anyone dared to hurt her best friends Susan, Ernie, Megan, Justin, Zach, or anyone else she thought severely important, she’d go off on them. Even if her words were all sorts of mixed up she’d be angry enough to not give a flying flip and she even has it in her to pop someone in the nose with a rolled up daily prophet, if need be. Hannah has had her moments were she stayed angry at someone for too long but usually all it takes to get on her good side is baked goods and butter beer. As far as relationships go, Hannah has never been in a serious one. She’s been hit on plenty of times but she’s terribly naïve as to the ways to date someone. Her mother, a muggle, never really taught Hannah about the birds and the bees and thus she seems rather sheltered in that aspect. She does like staring at guys though, much like any other girl, and often zones out doing so! Basically, Hannah is a ditzy, loud laughing, super ticklish, grudge holding, boy watching, blonde with a deep love for butterbeer. Appearance: Hannah is known by her blonde pigtails, a hairstyle she keeps to this day. While it can seem a bit childish, Hannah can sometimes make the look seem utterly fashionable. Her sense of fashion has always been acute, ever since she turned sixteen and started reading Witch Weekly. She wears outfits made for the modern witch, a combination of trendy muggle outfits and beautiful robes made for a working witch. She doesn’t have to try hard to be seen as quite beautiful, what with her petite face, bright good figure, golden blonde locks and blue eyes. PB: Reese Witherspoon History: Hannah Abbott was born to Ginger and Thadric Abbott on April 20th 1980 in a little cottage like home in the English countryside. Thadric was a rather boring fellow, a wizard who was apart of a research team that spent hours in muggle libraries learning about muggle inventions and muggle history and muggle everything for the sake of muggle and magical relations. A former Ravenclaw, Thadric was a tad boring for most people’s taste except for when it came to muggle, Ginger Raynes. Ginger grew up in a very traditional household where she wasn’t allowed to date and where she wasn’t allowed to hang out with riff raff of any sort. Her greatest love was the written word, but only sensible books and nothing racy! It was at her local library that Ginger met Thad and the two fell in love while reading books by Jane Austen. Thad was well liked by The Rayne’s and eventually they were married and having a baby girl. Thad confessed to his magical skills only after their marriage and while The Raynes were completely freaked out, Ginger thought it terribly fascinating and was ever so excited to have married such a talented fellow! On a side note, Ginger’s sister Georgiana ended up marrying a bloke from the city and was disowned by their parents after she got pregnant. Her son is Hannah’s muggle cousin who likes to break dance and show up posers at the hottest London clubs. He’s named Simon and is very well liked by Hannah. Anyways, Hannah grew up in a rather sheltered world. Her father was boring and her mother was not quite as boring but certainly she didn’t approve of Hannah getting into to much trouble. This wasn’t a problem for the little girl. She loved doing what little girls loved best: pretending to have tea parties, playing with dolls, dressing up, playing house. Hannah was her mother’s dream child, a perfect, innocent, little girl. Unfortunately, she lacked her father’s brains and often said silly and dumb things all the time, causing her Mother to worry about Hannah not getting anywhere in life. That was until Hannah was accepted into Hogwarts, and while Ginger felt weary about letting her daughter dive into magic fully, she knew it was the best thing for Hannah. She was accepted into Hufflepuff immediately and felt truly honored to be considered so loyal by the sorting hat. This was a characteristic of Hannah that rang true. She was quick to make friends and quicker to defend them if anyone were to be considered a threat. She took Justin’s side against Harry Potter in their second year, then supported Cedric in her fourth year, and when the D.A. was created she joined with others in her house despite her being a prefect that year. Her entire fifth year was less eventful than her fourth and third, except she felt a strange foreboding the entire year. It made her feel sick nightly when she kept having strange dreams about her mother being in danger, but she was scared to say anything about it because she knew her mother would take her out of school if anything seemed too strange to her. Then, late in her sixth year, her mother and father died from a death eater attack that forced her to find a new home with her mother’s sister, her Aunt Georgina, a single mom to her cousin Simon. They were informed about Hannah’s strange magical education but Aunt Georgina thought it best that Hannah not return to her school, for her own safety. That year and summer, Hannah helped her Aunt work the small Thrift Store she owned while she quietly mourned her parent’s death. It was actually Simon who helped Hannah cheer up during that hard time, even though he was very different with his b-boy attitude that had Hannah confused more than anything. It was Simon who made Hannah consider returning to her friends and when everyone showed up for the Battle of Hogwarts, Hannah showed up too, ready to fight for her mother’s sake and for her friend’s sake. After the battle, Hannah reunited with her friends but ended up going back to live with her Aunt for a while. She was more involved in the Wizarding world though and ended up getting a job as a cleaning lady at The Leaky Cauldron. Eventually that job expanded to bartender and now she manages the Inn while Tom, getting much older and in need of the help, spends his days doing minor finance work for the Leaky Cauldron. She’s made the Cauldron a bit more welcoming for her customers and manages to keep it filled with customers on the weekends. Anything else we should know about the character? She is actually VERY good with numbers and often doesn’t have to write out her calculations. This is perhaps her only area where her brain is strong in the book smart things. | |||||||||
